ThinLine Hoof pads are made of the same foam as their performance saddle pads and provide a simple solution for horses with any degree of discomfort and to keep your horses sounder longer. Works great in any boot, under any wrap, or with any shoeing method. ThinLine hoof pads relieve many arthritic joint and hoof diseases, including navicular and founder. Soft soled horses receive instant comfort.
There are many uses for ThinLine Hoof Pads:
- For Shoeing: shoe the whole pad (use a plastic pad on top) or trim for rim pads
- For Boots: pads easily trim to size for factory-made boots (EZ Boots, Davis Boot, Boa Boot, Ice Horse Boot, Cavallo Boot, etc)
- For treatment: wrap or duct tape on to relieve pain or stress from abscess, founder, or other injury
- Use with frog inserts to treat navicular or contracted heel
Most pads last 12-16 weeks, depending on use. Barefoot horses: be sure to have your trimmer leave smooth edges to prevent tearing the pad in boots. Sold in pairs in regular (size 4) and extra large. For large warmbloods, draft, or saddle seat horses, order the extra large.
